This Sausage and Braised Cabbage is a classic Romanian dish that is low-carb, healthy, delicious, and the perfect weeknight one-pot meal.

This dish takes me back to my childhood in Romania. I have the best memories of my mom and my grandma making this dish when I was little.. Cabbage is a staple vegetable in Romanian cuisine. Some of the most popular Romanian dishes are cabbage rolls, cabbage salad, and braised or pickled cabbage as side dishes. This Sausage and Braised Cabbage is super easy to make, low-carb and so delicious……Whole 30 and Paleo of course. You really only need few ingredients such as your favorite sausage, onion, cabbage, a bay leaf, and about 45 minutes to get this one pot meal on the table.

  • Avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil
