Slow Cooker Apple Butter

Slow cooker apple butter will make your entire house smell like fall. Apples are slowly cooked in the crockpot and are caramelized to perfection as a sweet buttery spread.  Put it on anything and everything. This is great on pancakes, toast, and even savory dishes like pork chops. Super easy, unbelievably good, and also makes a great gift.  I would love to hear your favorite way to use apple butter!

Ingredients:

8 large apples, peeled, cored, chopped (I use honeycrisp)

1/2 cup raw sugar

1/4 cup light brown sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Place the apples in a slow cooker.

Top with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Mix well.

Cover and cook on high 5 hours, or on low 10 hours.

Uncover and puree with an immersion blender.

Spoon into jars or containers, cover, and refrigerate.

Enjoy!
